1. What is your first step in creating a planned giving program?

We start by listening to you and getting to know your organization's culture and your donors. We then review (or help you create) your program's identity, mission statement, goals, objectives, and gift acceptance policy. After a thorough review, we provide your organization with a specific set of recommendations for your planned giving program.

2. Do you implement your planned giving recommendations?

Yes. We not only make recommendations concerning your planned giving program, but we also implement those recommendations. Our planned giving process involves identifying prospective donors, marketing to those donors, interacting with interested donors, and then reporting the activities and results back to you.

4. Do you provide donors interested in planned giving?

No. The Advancement Group works with existing donors. As your planned giving outsource, we become an extension of your organization and help you identify potential donors by developing an effective marketing plan.

5. Will you work with our "allied professionals"?

Yes. Prospective donors may have established working relationships with their own accountants, attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, insurance agents, and investment advisers. Our planned giving advisors will interact with your donor's "allied professionals" to implement their plans.

6. Do you receive a portion of the gifts raised?

No. The Advancement Group does not receive a portion of the gifts raised. In fact, receiving a portion of the gifts raised would violate the Model Standards for the Charitable Gift Planner as adopted by the National Committee on Planned Giving May 7, 1991, revised April 1999.
